1. Introduction

Welcome to Vancouver Island Mountain Training (VIMT). By engaging in our services, programs, and website, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read these carefully as they outline your rights and responsibilities as a participant.

2. General Terms

  • By enrolling in any VIMT training program, you confirm that you are 18 years or older or have obtained parental/guardian consent if under 18.

  • All information provided during registration must be accurate and up to date.

  • VIMT reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Updates will be posted on our website, and continued use of our services implies acceptance of these changes.

3. Physical Health and Fitness

  • Participation in mountain training activities requires a basic level of fitness and health.

  • You are responsible for consulting a healthcare professional before starting any fitness program if you have any medical concerns.

  • VIMT is not liable for injuries, health complications, or accidents that occur during participation in any program, event, or trip.

4. Payment and Refunds

  • Monthly Billing:

    • Participation in VIMT programs is billed monthly at a rate of $265, unless otherwise specified.

    • Payments will be charged automatically on the same date each month based on your subscription start date.

  • Cancellations and Refunds:

    • You may cancel your subscription at any time by providing written notice (via email) at least 7 days prior to your next billing cycle to avoid being charged for the following month.

    • Refunds for the current billing period are not available.

    • Exceptions for medical emergencies or unforeseen circumstances may be considered at VIMT’s discretion.

  • Suspension of Services:

    • If your payment method fails or is declined, VIMT reserves the right to suspend your access to programs until payment is successfully processed.

  • Changes to Fees:

    • VIMT reserves the right to adjust program fees. Participants will be notified at least 30 days in advance of any changes to monthly billing rates.

5. Liability and Assumption of Risk

  • Mountain training and outdoor activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to injuries, weather-related incidents, and encounters with wildlife.

  • By participating in VIMT activities, you acknowledge these risks and agree to hold VIMT, its staff, and affiliates harmless from any liability.

  • Participants must follow all instructions from guides and trainers during sessions. Failure to do so may result in dismissal from the program without refund.

6. Equipment and Gear

  • Participants are responsible for bringing appropriate equipment and clothing as specified in program guidelines.

  • VIMT may provide rental options for some gear; however, it is the participant’s responsibility to ensure proper use and return of rented items in good condition.

7. Intellectual Property

  • All materials provided by VIMT, including training plans, guides, videos, and course content, are the intellectual property of Vancouver Island Mountain Training.

  • Materials are for personal use only and may not be distributed, reproduced, or used for commercial purposes without written consent.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

  • VIMT respects your privacy. Any personal information collected during registration or participation is used solely for program purposes and will not be shared with third parties without consent.

  • By enrolling, you agree to the collection and use of your data as outlined in our Privacy Policy.

9. Weather and Program Changes

  • Outdoor programs are subject to weather conditions. VIMT reserves the right to reschedule, modify, or cancel sessions if deemed unsafe due to weather or other factors.

  • In the event of cancellations by VIMT, participants will be offered a reschedule or refund.

10. Dispute Resolution

  • Any disputes or claims related to VIMT services will first be resolved through direct communication. If unresolved, they will be subject to mediation in accordance with local laws.
